Mandy produced a very cool image of a tardigrade embryo on our confocal microscope, just using autofluorescence. This tiny embryo is only 50 microns in length. The head is at the top and it’s facing to the right. It’s curled up into a “C” shape. You can see the little legs developing. We are definitely going to use this technique to help visualize where genes are expressed in these little embryos.
