They both did fantastic jobs presenting posters at the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) meeting in Gainesville. Mandy, Raul, and Frank had a great time talking to students and faculty from many institutions that were in attendance, and learned about some very exciting current research that is being performed by members of the Society. Additionally, this was the first time that any of these members of the Smith Lab visited The University of Florida. Mandy and Raul both plan to go to grad school, and were very impressed with everything UF has to offer.
